Mary Ellen Hazlett Brimlow passed away on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 at Heart of Florida Hospital in Davenport, Fla. She was born Feb. 19, 1955 and resided in Polk County most of her life. She was raised in Lake Wales and had lived in Frostproof for many years.

She is survived by her parents, Ellen and David Hazlett of Lake Wales; her husband, Joe Brimlow of Frostproof; two brothers, Jeff and John Hazlett; sister, Suzanne Lawson; children, Becky Gaetz Hendry and Derrick Luke; two stepsons, David and Michael Brimlow and seven grandchildren.

A gathering of friends will be held at her parent’s home in Lake Wales at 840 Cassleberry Drive on Thursday, Oct. 25 from 2 to 5 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on the same date at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
