Joyce “Punkin” Landers, 55, of Frostproof, passed away Tuesday,
Sept. 18, 2012, at the Somers Hospice House in Sebring.

She was born Sept. 21, 1956, in Binghamton, NY, to the late Arnold and Joyce (Jackson) Benjamin; and came to Frostproof from Fort Myers 20 years ago.

Joyce was a homemaker, and a member of the Frostproof Church of God. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, enjoyed Christian music, reading, shopping, and was a very devoted Christian.

Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Landers; daughter, Sandra Diane Landers; grandson, Tai Landers; brothers, Arnold Benjamin and Douglas Benjamin. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Mike Landers; daughters, Sondra Marshall of Frostproof and Christy Landers of Frostproof; sons, Michael Landers II (Sally) of North Carolina, Stephen Marshall (April) of Fort Myers and Derek Landers (Marissa) of Nebraska; sister, Linda Sheffield of Lakeland; brothers, Gene Jackson of New York, Roger Benjamin of New York and Paul Benjamin of Mississippi; 13 grandchildren, Ashlyn Landers, Jordan Flynn, Tyler Marshall, Emmalee Marshall, Heather Pierce, Tia Landers, Savannah Landers, Ashton Landers, Isabelle Landers, Bailey Landers, Cameron Landers, Kinley Landers, and Stevie Marshall.

Visitation is Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, from 3-5 p.m. at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof.

A funeral service is 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at the Frostproof Church of God.
