Mrs. Linda Kay Thomas, 62, of Lake Wales, Fla., died on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 1, 1950 at Lake Wales Hospital and was a lifelong resident. She was a fruit packer for Waverly Growers.

She is survived by her son, Chad Barnett of Auburndale, a grandson Cole; her sisters, Yvonne Warren of Lake Wales, JoEllen Brogdon of Bartow, Sue Lashley of Apopka, and Jeannie Bowden of Winter Haven, and her brother Buddy Bowden of Lake Wales.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Frances Tarlton, a sister Pat Pridgen, and a brother James Bowden.

Memorial services are Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with John Glamann officiating.
