Barbara A. “Barb” Hunt, 74, of Indian Lake Estates passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at her residence.

She was born July 2, 1937, in Hamburg, N.Y., and came here from Hamburg in 1988.

She was a graduate of D’Youville College in Buffalo, N.Y., a retired nurse, worked at Eden Central School in Eden, N.Y., and was a member of the St. Leo’s Mission in Nalcrest. She enjoyed golfing, walking and taking care of her dogs, Gretchen and Heidi.

Barb was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Beth Cornwell.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Mervin A. Hunt; daughters, Ellen Buchannan (Scott) of Denver, Terri Flynn of Hamburg, N.Y., and Paula Hunt of Seattle; sons, Kenneth Hunt (Barbara A.) of Hamburg, N.Y., and Ronald Cornwell (Linda) of Rochester, N.Y.; sister, Marie Hoelscher of Hamburg, N.Y.; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be held at 9:30 am Monday, February 20, 2012. A memorial service will be held at St. Leo’s Mission in Nalcrest.
