There is a saying that variety is the spice of life and restaurant owner Keith Thompson believes that is how the different eateries in the historic part of downtown Lake Wales are going to survive.

Thompson, the owner of Beans-N-Brushes, said the more things that are open in downtown, the more people will come. He describes it as “the mall mentality.”
