Lake Placid woman perishes in crash

A 20-year-old Lake Placid resident perished in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 27, in southeast Winter Haven, north of Lake Wales.
Suleyka Najera of 119 Sunflower Drive, Lake Placid, was declared dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred around 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.
