LWCS Superintendent Jesse Jackson will pursue obtaining an official interpretation from the state regarding procedures for converstion charter schools.
“We have to do better,” said LWCS Superintendent Jesse Jackson at the monthly meeting of the board of trustees on Monday. “Our goal is not be adversarial. It’s about serving our children in the best way.”
“We need to end the needless confrontations between the charter schools and the Polk County School District,” added Robin Gibson, LWCS general counsel. Both gave high marks to District Superintendent John Stewart for trying to resolve differences between McLaughlin Middle School and the Lake Wales High School.
