While many Lake Wales residents will be enjoying their evening meal Tuesday, city commissioners will be spending the dinner hour digging into the rather unappetizing subject of fats, oil and grease.
Fats, oil and grease, which is also called FOG in the wastewater business, can have negative impacts on wastewater collection and treatment systems, Lake Wales Public Works Director Tom Moran. Most wastewater collection system blockages can be traced to FOG.
