Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bell of Babson Park announce the engagement of their daughter, Christina Anne, to David Alan Rode of Salt Lake City, Utah. Christie was homeschooled through high school and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from the University of Central Florida. She is a lyric soprano and is a former resident artist of the Central Florida Lyric Opera Company of Orlando. David is from Tucson and is a graduate of the University of Arizona. His parents are the Reverend Alan Rode and Mrs. Carolyn Walters. David is a chemical engineer and has been employed by ASML for the last fourteen years.

Christie and David met just over a year ago at the wedding of her sister Katie, in which they served as maid of honor and best man. The couple will be married in an open ceremony on May 11 at 6 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales. A private reception will follow at the Lake Wales Country Club.
