The Lake Wales Family YMCA will soon make competitive swimming available for the young — and not so young.

A masters swim team for those between the ages of 18 to 99 is being formed for those who will be given the opportunity to compete in meets around the state, Clark Heter, the Y’s executive director, told members of the Noon Rotary Club of Lakes Wales while providing an update on what’s happening at the Burns Avenue facility. Heter added that workouts are put together for the swimmers.
