Bok Academy students and faculty proudly accepted their official Apple Distinguished Program status Thursday (Feb. 21) during a school-wide ceremony complete with video tributes from former Bok students.

Apple representatives praised the school for its innovation, leadership and educational excellence. Fewer than 200 educational institutions (K-12 through universities) in the United States have earned the prestigious designation. Bok Academy is the only Apple Distinguished Program in Polk County.
