Elmer Rensi shows the thick notebooks of information he collected from World War II to members of the Noon Rotary Club of Lake Wales on Tuesday. Rensi was an Army combat
medic and was at the Battle of the Bulge. The battle, in which 19,000 Americans were killed, began in December 1944 and continued into January 1945. Rensi shared stories with the Rotarians. He said 525 surgeries were performed during the first 24 hours of the largest battle in that war.
