The traditional passing of the president’s gavel marked the 97th Lake Wales Chamber of Commerce annual meeting and holiday luncheon on Dec. 7. Nearly 160 attended the event at the Lake Wales Country Club where they were serenaded by the Janie Howard Wilson Elementary Silver Streak Chorus and World Drumming Ensemble under the direction of Micky Caban.

2012 President Mike Morrow, Lake Wales Care Center, handed the gavel to 2013 President Brian Marbutt, Citizens Bank & Trust. Marbutt said his focus for the year will be to encourage members to take advantage of all the opportunities the Chamber offers, will work to foster a greater economic partnership with the City of Lake Wales and will spotlight members.
