On Friday, Nov. 30, Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested a 37-year-old Lake Wales woman, charging her with trying to kill her husband when she allegedly put drugs in his sandwich.

Beth Dickison Richards, 37, 1325 Lakeview Road, Lake Wales, was booked into the Polk County Jail facing charges of attempted first-degree murder, poisoning food with the intent to kill, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection to the premeditated attempted murder of her husband, Gregory Lawrence Richards.
