The Polk County Chapter of the National Coalition for 100 Black Women Inc. has its annual Polk County World AIDS Day Community Awareness Forum from 9 a.m.-noon. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Northeast Recreational and Cultural Center, 801 Avenue T, NE, Winter Haven.

The event brings together people from various sectors of the community to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and also serves as an opportunity for public and private partners to spread awareness about the status of the pandemic and encourage progress in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and care.
