Allen Temple AME Church honored all veterans present at their Sunday morning service, Nov. 11. A stirring presentation by Wanda Howard, NAACP coordinator, was delivered, which addressed citizen information about the Constitution, the President's role, his duty of command of the U.S. military forces, and the fact that AME has "a part in the Constitution." Howard noted that AME supports the Constitution. From left, those honored: Michael Reese (Navy), Stanley Brown (Air Force), James Logan (Air Force), the Rev. Herbert Hollingsworth (Marines), Johnnie Hawkins (Army), Lemuel Pearsall (Air Force). Not pictured, but given special honors, deceased: Donnie Colvin, Sr. (Army), who was also honored for 40 years as a Boy Scout Master.
