Top teacher credits her team for winning award

Miracles happen in Jennifer Simpson’s classroom. The Lake Wales Charter Schools Teacher of the Year teaches fourth grade math, science and writing at Hillcrest Elementary, but gives credit for her award to her fellow teachers and school administrators.
“It’s not just me, it’s a team. Passion and drive starts from the top and trickles down,” said Simpson, referring to LWCS Superintendent Jesse Jackson who visits her classroom often.
