Mother allegedly stabs son

A Lake Wales woman was booked into the county jail, accused of stabbing her 7-year-old son after chaining his hands.
Police went to the home of Maisa Alvarez, 42, at 8:14 a.m. to discover Alvarez allegedly had chained her 7-year-old son’s hands together then repeatedly stabbed him in the chest while he lay in bed.
