Deziree Riedel’s art incorporates biblical themes

Not long after her art was hung on the wall, Riedel started getting comments from people on her exquisite pieces.

Themes of Christ’s crucifixion occur throughout much of the art Deziree Riedel has on
display at the Lake Wales Library. The pathos in the
faces of Mary, Jesus, and Judas Iscariot are quite moving and realistic.

at the Lake Wales Library, said she has no formal training but “Her talent is a gift from
God alone.”
