A Lake Wales man perished after being struck by a vehicle, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office reports.

According to reports, at approximately 5:25 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, 45-year-old Jamie Arredondo DeHaro, of Bay Hill Circle, Winter Haven, was traveling south on Cypress Gardens Boulevard approaching Helena Road in a 2003 Maroon Chevy Astro Van. While approaching Helena Road, DeHaro entered the designated turn lane on the right so he could turn onto the Helena Road and travel west, reports note.
