With school starting on Monday, Aug. 20, back-to-school events fill the calendar in mid-August as parents, students and teachers get ready for a new year.

Lake Wales High School will hold Freshman Orientation for ninth graders at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14. Orientation for students in grades 10-12 follows at 7 p.m. (Morning bell is at 7 a.m.; dismissal is at 2 p.m.)
