New director arrives in time for band camp

Rumors of the Lake Wales Highlanders band’s demise are greatly exaggerated.
From time to time, rumors pop up on Facebook that the band program at Lake Wales High School will be eliminated this year. If the Facebook rumors are true, someone forgot to tell Kenneth Evans, recently hired to direct the band program and according to LWHS principal Donna Dunson, to teach a chorus class as well.
