A convenience store chain based in Pennsylvania is planning to aggressively enter the Florida market that will include a store in Lake Wales.

A public hearing on a master plan and a preliminary commercial Planned Development Project for a Wawa store on Eagle Ridge Mall property will be held at Tuesday’s Lake Wales City Commission meeting. According to the agenda, the store would be built on 2.07 acres of land at the corner of U.S. Highway 27 and Chalet Suzanne Road.
