Lake Wales could have new code enforcement procedures adopted next week in an attempt to deal with the problem of blighted properties in the city. Commissioners will consider a second reading and hold a public hearing on an ordinance based on the International Property Maintenance Code, in a meeting at 6 p.m., July 3, City Hall.

The group unanimously approved the ordinance on first reading at their June 19 meeting.
