The Polk County Sheriff’s Office reports a crash related to the storm claimed a young woman’s life.

According to reports, the three car crash occurred around 6:40 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, in Winter Haven, when a gray 1994 Honda Accord being driven southbound on Lake Shipp Drive near the intersection with Ridge Avenue by 23-year-old Enrique Martinez Salgado of 635 South Rifle Range Road lot 1 in Wahneta, hit a wet spot on the road and Salgado lost control of the vehicle.
