Firefighters from the Lake Wales Fire Department and the Polk County Fire Department were called to a fire at the Shri Radha Krishna Temple at 1354 State Road 60 in Lake Wales, at about 6:30 a.m. Nobody was in the building at the time, and the fire is under investigation by the Florida State Fire Marshal's Office.

The back of the building appeared to receive a large part of the damage. According to preliminary reports, damage is estimated at $100,000.
