City moves forward on fire substation

The Lake Wales City Commission on Tuesday night unanimously approved a land contract for a fire substation on Chalet Suzanne Road.
The contract price for the 3.76 acres is $175,000 with the city putting up $10,000 of the closing cost for the property, for a total of $185,000.
