The curtain rang down on basketball season for the Lake Placid Green Dragon boys’ varsity team in a 72-52 defeat at the hands of the Avon Park Red Devils in semifinal action in the Class 4A; District 10 tournament Tuesday night, Feb. 5, in Avon Park.

The Red Devils would go on to defeat the DeSoto Bulldogs of Arcadia later in the week to take the district title and move on to regional action against Tampa Catholic.
