Field, Norid win Chamber of Commerce bass tournament

A total fish weight of 19.67 pounds was good for third place for the team of Robert Brown and Larry Bush. They collected their prize from tournament director Norman Lee.

Don Field of Sebring and Steve Norid of Lorida claimed first place in Sunday’s Chamber of Commerce Bass Tournament having boated 22.58 pounds of fish from Lake Istokpoga. The tandem of Jerrel Mott and John Wood finished second at 20.03, Wood hails from Sebring. The third-place team, which brought in 19.67 pounds, was comprised of Robert Brown and Larry Bush, both of Lake Placid. Geoff Balog and Jimmy Kowalski of Lake Placid were fourth, with Balog having brought in the “Big Bass” of the tournament. Doug Meekhof and Joe Medlock of Lake Placid were fifth, Gary Wilt and Roy Clark of Sebring placed sixth and Don Blanchard from Sarasota joined Todd Schluter of Englewood to finish seventh.
In all there were 30 boats with a total of 60 anglers, two to a boat, in the tourney.
