After a slow start, the Lake Placid Lady Dragon junior varsity basketball team rolled to a 53-33 victory over the Riverdale Raiders of Fort Myers in a game played Tuesday evening, Jan. 22, in the Bill Ross Memorial Gymnasium.

The Lady Green opened with a 6-4 lead in a low-scoring first quarter which featured a scoring pass from Anne Weber-Callahan to Jenny Herstein as well as a three-point basket by the latter. The visitors hustled hard and took advantage of some poor play by Lake Placid to mount a razor-thin, 10-9, lead at halftime.
