Playing in their home gym, the Lake Placid Middle School Lady Dragons led the Avon Park Red Devils, 9-5, at the end of the first quarter and 12-9 at the half. Lake Placid trailed by one, 17-16, as the teams headed into the final stanza. Unfortunately, the girls from Avon Park went on a 13-6 tear in the last quarter to defeat Lake Placid, 30-22.

Jessica Harris led the Lady Green with 6 points. Abigail Campbell added 5. Dontaysha Gobourne and Aleigha Peterson scored 4 a piece while Julia Tuason had 2 and Kiara Watson 1.
