South Florida State College opens its baseball season Friday afternoon, Jan. 25, at 12:45 p.m. at Panther Field at the Highlands Campus. The event is named “Dr. Stephens Day” in honor of the college’s retiring president.

The celebration will begin with an appreciation ceremony for Dr. and Mrs. Stephens, followed by the president throwing out the first pitch of the game. The fun continues with plenty of great snacks and Panther athletic apparel available at the concession stand. Throughout the game, announcer Hal Graves will award prizes to those who can muster answers to his famous baseball trivia questions.
