Lake Placid Elks Lodge 2661 hosted a basketball free throw Hoop Shoot contest recently in the gymnasium at Lake Placid Middle School. The winners will represent Lake Placid in district competition.

Earning the top spots in the Hoop Shoot included Riley Howes who took home first place in the boys 8- 9-year-olds division. Tevin Jackson was first among boys 12-13, while Emily Jackson claimed first place in the girls 10- 11-year-old grouping. Madison Kirchen was first among girls 8-9 girls, Patrick Hely took home first place in the boys 10- 11-year-old division, and Kevin Jackson earned second place among boys 12-13.
