The DeSoto Bulldogs defeated the Lake Placid Green Dragon boys’ junior varsity basketball team, 57-51, in a game played in Arcadia Friday night, Dec. 14.

Playing without their point guard and leading scorer throughout the season, Katwan Lowe, the Green Dragons managed to put up quite a battle before losing this one. Lowe, who was just rounding into shape as the team’s playmaker, broke an ankle in a Physical Education class at the high school and will be lost to the team for at least six weeks, perhaps the entire season.
