“Frostproof is probably the top team in our district right now, they have 11 seniors and play with the unity that only 11 players can who have played soccer together all through the years,” said Coach James Ashley after his Lake Placid Green Dragon varsity team lost, 4-1, to the Bulldogs in a game played there Thursday night, Dec. 6.

The Bulldogs scored first, notching a goal in the sixth minute of the game. Lake Placid, however, came back to tie the count at 1-1 with a goal scored on a double assist. Miguel Resendiz passed to Wilfreddy Moreno who played the ball through to Danny Gil. Gil found himself one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper and slipped one past into the net.
