The Lake Placid Lady Dragon varsity soccer team did its part in the first half of a girls/boys doubleheader against the Avon Park Red Devils Tuesday night, Dec. 4, defeating the Lady Devils, 8-0, in a game which ended early due to the “Mercy Rule.”

Lake Placid scored twice in the first half. Ten minutes into the game, Hannah Waller ran straight up the middle and sent one careening into the net for the Lady Green’s first score. Somewhat later in the initial period Rosa Ramirez, playing for the first time this season, drove from midfield and fired another salvo into the goal, 2-0 Lake Placid.
