A 16-year-old Lake Placid male is sought by Highlands County Sheriff’s Office investigators in connection with the shooting of another teen on Jan. 14, according to a press release from public information officer Nell Hays.

The teenage victim was treated at Florida Hospital Lake Placid and then transported to a trauma center. Hays said the victim remains unable to talk with investigators, but is expected to survive.
