Police say Pepsi delivery
driver faked Saturday robbery
A delivery driver for a soft drink distributor was arrested Saturday and accused of faking a robbery to keep cash he had collected on his route.
Lake Placid Police Corporal Eddie San Miguel responded to a report of an armed robber of a Pepsi truck driver at the Lake Placid Dollar General Store on U.S. 27 about 8 a.m. Saturday. Delivery driver Dominic A. Parker, who was dressed in a Pepsi uniform and driving a Pepsi truck, reported that he had been robbed at gunpoint by two unknown Hispanic males in a light blue two-door car.
