Highlands County Sheriff Susan Benton, in her role as President of the Florida Sheriff’s Association, led the 2012 New Sheriffs Institute training last week in Tallahassee.

Sheriff Benton assigned Chief Deputy Mark Schrader to attend the training since the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office did not have a Chief Deputy at the time Sheriff Benton attended her original class in 2004.
