LPPD Chief, HCSO’s Fennell earn certifications
A core requirement for effective crime fighting is credibility. To that end, law enforcement officers must continually challenge themselves to higher training and certifications which enhance the officer’s credibility when performing duties and when testifying in court
Lake Placid Police Chief Phil Williams and Highlands County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Technician Jeff Fennell served together on the Highlands County Hazmat Team and attended an extensive Hazmat training class together. The two later attended a Clandestine Laboratory training; and in October 2012, attended crime scene training and tested for certification as Crime Scene Investigators.
