Christal Page and Tim Landers received Certificates of Completion from Judge Anthony Ritenour earlier this month, officially making them the first two graduates of the Behavioral Health Deferred Prosecution program.
The Behavioral Health Deferred Prosecution program has been in place since May of 2011. It is a cooperative effort between the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office and the State’s Attorney’s Office to provide rehabilitation and stability for non-violent offenders who suffer from mental illness or co-occurring disorders.
