Children are not necessary to enjoy Christmas, but it sure does make the holiday much more joyful.

In my family, I have two nephews and two nieces. The boys came first, David and Christopher. David was an outgoing, cheerful kid who loved everything. His brother, Christopher, came four years later and was the exact opposite. The family found it hard to treat the boys the same with their different interests but we enjoyed both.
