‘Good Dog’ class to return at YMCA

Highlands County YMCA will be offering the “Good Dog” obedience and behavior class beginning Saturday, Nov. 2 at 4 p.m. The six-week session is held under cover in a fully fenced area at the YMCA.

The class is open to residents and visitors of Highlands County. You do not have to be a member to take this course.

“Good Dog” is geared towards dogs of all ages and levels. The course will focus on good manners, obedience and behavioral issues. Many techniques are utilized including positive reinforcement to help motivate both the owner and dog.

Some of the exercises to be learned include: sit, down, stand, stay, come, heel/walk on loose lead and more.

“Cost is $60. Dogs and puppies need to be current on their vaccines. Space is limited. For additional information or to pre-register call 863-655-9080.
