Grandparents face frustrations, rewards of raising grandchildren

Grandparents raising their grandchildren exchange ideas and experiences in a group meeting led by Consi Levn (standing).
Perhaps no one knows the frustrations of raising children more than parents. That is until you consider the plight of grandparents who step into the role of parent again to raise their own grandchildren.
The reasons that grandparents take on the frustrations — and the rewards — of again raising children are varied. Some have taken on the role of parents again because the parents of those grandchildren are in jail. Others because of drug addiction, and some because their own children are simply unwilling to accept the responsibility of parenthood.
