This old cast iron bath tub held bottled water Saturday night, but will sit empty for the next 12 months until the return of the World Famous Wild Game Dinner.

The Shannon Reed Band kept the music coming Saturday evening when the Lake Placid Noon Rotary Club hosted its 9th annual World Famous Wild Game Dinner.
Everyone who’s anyone knows the Wild Game Dinner is the social event of the holiday season in Highlands County.
It’s amazing how, in the space of a week or so, a quiet oak hammock transforms from an empty space to the county’s largest food and entertainment venue. Thanks to the hard work of countless volunteers for the Lake Placid Noon Rotary, the World Famous Wild Game Dinner sprang to life Saturday night as more than 875 people ate, drank and generally made merry in the name of community support.
