Jazz at St. Patrick’s Day dinner March 17
The Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Haines City is sponsoring a St. Patrick’s Day dinner and concert the afternoon and early evening of March 17. The event is open to the public and will be held at the church, which is located across from the U.S. Post Office at the intersection of State Road 544 and State Road 17.
John Skillman and his New Orleans Night Hawks will perform a broad array of traditional jazz including Dixieland, swing and blues. Their repertoire will include hymns and Irish music. The band is comprised of Skillman on clarinet and vocals, Mike Evans on banjo and vocals, Bob Hudgins on bass, Stan Mulder on drums, and vocalist Diana Skillman. The Night Hawks often draw large and enthusiastic crowds at local venues. Limited seating is available for a corned beef, cabbage and potatoes dinner that will include homemade desserts and non-alcoholic beverages.
