MURDOCK — Teamwork and cooperation were the buzzwords echoing through the halls of government as Charlotte County welcomed two new members to the County Commission during a swearing-in ceremony that drew some chuckles and several tears.
Commissioners Bill Truex, Ken Doherty and Tricia Duffy were sworn in by County Judge Paul Alessandroni Tuesday morning at the county administration building before an audience of nearly 100 people who had come out to show their support. Newcomers Truex and Doherty both begin their first term in office. It will be Duffy’s third. All are Republicans.
