Mrs. Ruby Frances Walker, 78, of Lake Wales, Fla., died on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at her home.

She was born on Jan. 13, 1935, in Hayden, Ala., to Dewey and Pearl Marrs Milligan and moved to Lake Wales in 1962 from Fyffe, Ala. Alongside her now-late husband Bobby, she owned the Cherry Pocket Fish Camp on Lake Pierce until retirement in 1984. She was a former member of Waverly Baptist Church and helped build a mission church, now Lake Pierce Baptist Church.

Ruby is survived by her son, Michael L. Walker of Lake Wales; daughter, Teresa Driggers of Winter Haven; four grandchildren, Lori Wescott, Julie Roberts, Martin Bryson, and Brandy Walker; and four great grandchildren; Keegan Wescott, Addison Roberts, Scarlett Quinones, and Nathaniel Bryson.

A memorial service was Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
