Recently you ran a column by Paul Krugman who is a major advocate for this “trainwreck” to quote one of its original Senatorial backers Max Baucus. This law was passed by Congress with no Republican votes. It is the law. President Obama has, by executive fiat, changed the law by delaying the “Employer mandate” for a year. This action is unconstitutional on its face. The only constitutional way to delay the employer mandate is for Congress to change it. Congress cannot change the law because the Senate is controlled by the Democrats who have shown by their inaction that they could care less about the Constitution.

In arguing for this law when it was to be voted on, The President was not truthful about many aspects of this law. Many people have or will lose their health coverage. Many people have or will see their healthcare costs go up dramatically. The primary people who are uninsured, according to the latest polling, do not want to get this new health coverage. Many businesses are cutting back employees hours to part-time to avoid the regulations of this law. The Teamster’s Union has stated that this law will be the end of the 40 hour work week and turn many workers into part-time workers, with NO benefits.

This law is only a stepping stone to a single-payer (government) health system where the doctors, nurses and hospitals will all become employees of the government. Think about it. The young healthy people do not want to join the insurance because they don’t need it until they get sick or injured. Well with the new ACA they don’t need to buy insurance ahead of time because the insurance companies have to insure them regardless of pre-existing conditions. That is not a viable alternative for insurance companies to survive. Imagine if we had a fire insurance system where you don’t have to buy fire insurance until your house is on fire and then when it is on fire the insurance company has to sell you insurance at a reasonable rate. It is ridiculous to think that any insurance company could survive in that system, but that is exactly what we are expecting with the new health insurance act that is going into effect soon.

Even the Congressional staffs and the IRS employees do not want to be a part of this new health system and they are the ones who will be enforcing the rules, all 20,000-plus pages of them.
