While many children may welcome Friday afternoon for fun and games, for the start of the weekend a group of about 120 spent their afternoon at the Highland Park Church of the Nazarene packing food for homeless children to make it through spring break next week.

As part of the KidsPACK program, the children raised $600 and with some corporate donations, the children packed enough food to feed 120 children three meals a day for the week starting March 25, which is spring break for Polk County Schools.
